Welcome to the Sokolov Natatorium Web Pages

On 28.12.2009 was held on 10th anniversary of the opening ceremony of the indoor pool in Sokolov. Here are accompanied by photos from the festivities.

The natatorium in Sokolov provides a great variety of active relaxation and sports nurturing options to the community and public in a quite and comfortable environment of a chateau park nearby the town centre. The natatorium has been in operation since January 2000, when it was reopened following a ten-year break of an extensive reconstruction financed by the Town of Sokolov.  The owner, and operator at the same time, of the natatorium is Sokolovská bytová s.r.o., an entity established by the Town of Sokolov, which apart from other businesses carries out heat management and town residential housing care services.  In 2005, a planned annex to the natatorium hall was executed, co-financed from the Interreg III.A  EU fund, and reconstruction of the pool basin was carried out under Czech Republic state budget contributions from the Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development.

At present, the natatorium premises offer a 25 m pool with a water shot, two whirlpools, and two roller coasters – 93m and 23 m long, to their visitors. Children can play in a children’s pool with warmer water, equipped with water features and a slide.  Visitor can further make use of steam bath rooms, separate for ladies and gentlemen, located in separate shower rooms.  All water features including steam bath rooms are free of charge for pool visitors.

The premises further house a snack bar with a view to the pool area, which can be used both by pool visitors and the incoming pool guests.

Family studio is a separate closed area furnished with comprehensive pool equipment, an ideal place for a family or friends visit. The R-studio place houses a Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, a sauna and a massaging jet shower recess. The premises are designed in a way to provide for a quiet sitting-in, with a great variety of cooled drinks to enjoy. The family studio is available for a daily use. Sauna – is equipped with a sauna room for twelve persons, a cold plunge room and a chill out room furnished with daybeds. Sauna premises can further provide for a pleasant sitting, where one can enjoy a great variety of cooled drinks on offer. The sauna can be used individually or in conjunction with a pool visit.  In individual days, the sauna operations are separated to provide services to men or women only, though each Monday the sauna can be used jointly by both sexes.
